"what's in my closet" just move

this phrase has been on my mind all day today. i am now really motivated to get things moving with my career, or i should say, the business i want to launch. i visualize the final product, how successful it is, and how inspired others are because of it. but for some reason, i have been sitting at my computer staring. i know what i have to do, i know i need to put it down on paper, to research & study, and to design whats in my head. but i also know, it takes baby steps. i need to move everyday, and conquer a little bit more week after week. it will come, and when it does, it will be huge!

golfer, baker, and babysitter!

i am making this post short and sweet.

we went to arizona for thanksgiving to watch jill & todd's kiddos. Yes, Kevin went with me! turns out he's pretty awesome for never complaining, making friends with every person in my family, playing with the kids, getting beckham to laugh, being helpful with all the stuff i had to do, baking pies, sweeping & vacuming, and giving me a massage at the end of a tiring day! i think he's a keeper!

my parents, my brother jared & fam, and ashley, all came up from california too. they all stayed at sean & robins, while we luckily got jills's house to our selves!

thursday:
outdoor soccer with entire family, including amie & ken (cousins) who also live in az!
nice, yummy, filling, turley dinner, followed by yummy pie

friday:
did a little shopping with Kevin and the 2 kiddos in the morning (will never attempt to do that again), Beckham LOVES to run, and run away from who ever is holding him. at one point, i had to put him down for a second so i could pay, well, i look up only to see him coming toward me from running the entire perimeter of Dicks Sporting Goods! nice
Kevin, Jared, Cole, and I went golfing in the afternoon and had a blast! I became a better golfer that day because K actually taught me how to play with correct form! Thanks baby!

Dinner with Adults Only! Yum, except they put an extreme amount of pepper on my cheese pizza, and when they took it from me, they came back to let me know, "sorry, we are out of pizza for the night!"

saturday:

wow, I actually dont remember! But I do remember that Kevin got the itch to make pumpkin pie from scratch, so we went shopping and he went to work in the kitchen!

we ended the night with a few more hours of indoor church soccer! lots of fun!

sunday:

finished baking pies, cleaned house, dropped off kids, and flew home to windy & frightfully cold california!

"what's in my closet" wells fargo belt

hey everyone! hope your thanksgiving was as fun and fulfilling as mine! I had a long 5 day holiday full of family, food, soccer, babysitting, and my man! (not in that order)

we flew out Wednesday night from burbank airport. I had no idea if all the BS with security was going to affect that airport too, so I stressed out myself and kevin. Well, he probably wasn't, but he definitely knew how to get me calm and start thinking logically again! So we passed through with flying colors and made it to phoenix by 10:30pm.

Thanksgiving post coming soon.

After coming home last night to freezing cold and windy weather, I knew it was the start of the cold season! no more indecisive weather patters here in southern california. now the rain will fall, the snow will come, and snowboarding will begin!

the belt i'm wearing is taken from my dads closet about 10 years ago. its from the 70's when he used to play in his band "the Burgundy street singers!" The brown leather is old and tattered, and the buckle is brass metal with the Wells Fargo Company logo and train imprinted on it. it also weighs about 3 pounds!

"what's in my closet" tights & stripes

im overly excited right now that my day is coming to an end. yesterday and today have been so hectic at work that I even forgot to pee a little bit ago. I even thought about skipping the act all together because I knew I would be wasting time! but i did it, and I'm even squeezing in this post at the last minute. tomorrow me and K are on our way to Arizona for the weekend to have some family time! can't wait for him to be thrown into the mix of everyone, cousins, brother, nieces, nephews, sister-n-law! he has one sister, no nieces & nephews, so I hope it goes well!

hope everyone has a great thanksgiving! I just want to say how grateful I am for being where I am in life. I went through a tough time this year, but also found some happiness! next year I know will be one of my best years!

"what's in my closet" a party!

another weekend gone by in an instant. i guess it's just life in general. i really cant believe we're almost in december. last year was a "first christmas" in our new house, making new traditions, hosting a christmas party, opening & giving gifts to the one I loved. and now I'm back at my parents, watching them open presents while I sit in my pajamas petting the cat. oh well.

this weekend I got to visit with two old friends that I haven't seen in 3 years! one had been handed divorce papers a week ago and the other just moved back from NY after living with his fiance and getting dumped. after being with them for ten minutes, we were laughing and giggling like no time had gone by.

saturday night I met Kevin at Cerritos College to watch his girls volleyball team play in the CIF Div. 5 finals! Although they lost, the girls did really awesome. the love & support they got from family & friends was pretty amazing! This was the furthest any team has ever gotten at the school, so it was a huge accomplishment for them!

last night I went to the misters house. we made dinner together, sat in the hot tub for some one on one time, and then hit the hay early. that guy has the craziest life i swear! but he still manages to squeeze me in : )

PS I went to my hairstylist on saturday to get my hair lightened. Im going for a light brown. but for some g-awful reason, it has to be copper before it can be beautiful! I guess dying my hair black for so long doesn't have it's benefits!!!! (i hate my hair right now)

"what's in my closet" freaky friday

seriously, thank goodness it's friday! for some awful reason this week went by soooo sloooowww! maybe it's because i'll actually be home this weekend rather then being on an adventure somewhere! Kevin is on his way to go camping with 34 high school kids, so he'll have an weekend adventure. but Im going to be catching up on stuff like getting my hair done, working on my business plan, laundry, finishing my quilt, and going to yoga! sounds exciting i know!

so getting dressed today was a little bit relaxed knowing that it was friday and my weekend was starting shortly!

"what's in my closet" 1969

fell in love last week with the 1969 original GAP denim jacket! I remember in the 90's when my older sister Danielle got one and I was soooooo envious! she fit the style of the jacket back then more than I did. She was preppy and I was grunge. But still, I wanted it! So I think I stole it from her closet several times, just like I did her car when I was 15!!!!! true story.

so you can understand my excitement when it was on sale at GAP! I even settled for a larger size because they were out of mine! and I paired it with my new fun leggings/tights! Im not sure what they are exactly. They are thick like leggings, but since having them on all day, I wonder if they're supposed to be tights! Oops! anyways, they have a really cool pattern on them reminding me of winter!

weekend in Napa

Like I said in my last post, Napa was one of the best weekends I've ever had! We left Friday morning, picked up Kevins friend in Oakland, and got to the Vineyard around 5pm! The house was beautiful and the vineyard it was sitting on was even more beautiful! We all explored the house and outside for a bit and then decided to make dinner at the house.

Saturday Kevins friend John had hooked us up all day long with different vineyards and places to go. Saturday night we found an italian restaurant in Sanoma that was so yummy! I usually get gnocci every time I eat Italian, and hands down this was the best I had ever eaten! We played some games back at the house that night and then bed.

Saturday we slept in, went into a little town for brunch and had more of the best food we've ever had! and then went next door and picked up some yummy pastries! we headed back towards Berkeley around noon to drop John off and then drove home.

I had such a great time with Kevin. We laughed, talked, played, and even argued a little. I feel close and comfortable with him and hope that we continue on with this relationship. If that happens, I know it's going to be a fun life with him and his kiddos!
